Extract Pages - Free Online Browser Tool

Save selected pages from a PDF as a new PDF file or separate ZIP.

Extraction is the safest edit you can make to a document: you decide which pages leave, and everything you did not select stays behind exactly as it was. Use it to pull an invoice out of a long report, or to lift a chapter into a fresh file, without disturbing the original.

This extract pages utility runs completely inside your web browser. Your document is opened locally and processed on your own device using JavaScript and WebAssembly, so your file is never uploaded to any server. There is no signup, no watermark and no limit on how many documents you can handle.

  • 100% client-side - files never leave your device
  • Instant processing, no upload wait
  • Works on desktop, tablet and mobile
  • Free forever, no account required

How to Use the Extract Pages Tool

Four steps, and the whole thing runs locally on your own device.

  1. Load the source PDF

Drop in the document. Every page renders as a thumbnail so you can identify the ones you want without scrolling back and forth.

  2. Click the pages to extract

Toggle thumbnails on or off. The running count updates live, and a mis-click is fixed by clicking the same page again.

  3. Choose a single file or a ZIP

Collect the picks into one document, or export each selected page as its own file in a ZIP archive.

  4. Export

Press Extract Pages. The new document contains your selection in the original page order.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the order of my extracted pages preserved?

Yes — pages come out in ascending original order regardless of the order you clicked them, which is almost always what you want.

Can I extract non-contiguous pages like 2, 7 and 30?

Yes, that is exactly what this tool is for. Any combination of individual pages can be selected.

Does extracting a page reduce its quality?

No. Selected pages are transferred whole, so vector text stays sharp and any OCR text layer is preserved.

Can I extract a range of pages quickly?

Use Split PDF for range selection, or type ranges directly. Clicking thumbnails is better when you need specific, scattered pages.

Can I extract from a scanned document with no text layer?

Yes. Extraction does not need text at all — but if you later want the extracted text to be searchable, run the page through OCR first.
