Images to PDF FAQ
Should I choose "fit to page" or "actual size" for a scan?
Fit to page is right for almost every scan, because phone photos and flatbed captures include a variable amount of surrounding background and the tool trims the visual weight down to the content. Actual size is useful when the image already has pixel-accurate dimensions you need to preserve, such as a barcode or a precise diagram.
What resolution do I need when scanning?
Around 200 to 300 DPI covers ordinary documents and keeps text readable without a large file. Going higher looks no better to the eye but multiplies the file size, and going below 150 DPI starts making small print fuzzy.
Can I convert a mixed set of JPG, PNG and WebP in one go?
Yes, use the batch image converter rather than the single-format tools. Each file is identified by what it actually contains rather than by its extension, so a file that has been mislabelled still converts correctly.
