Before you trust a document, look at it. Check its page count, how it is rotated, whether two versions actually differ, and what it will look like at a given zoom.

View & Inspect FAQ
What can a visual comparison catch that a text diff cannot?
A text diff compares characters, so it misses anything that is not text: a shifted image, a moved table, a changed colour, a page that was scanned at a different angle. Visual comparison overlays the rendered pages and shows exactly that, which is why it is the one to trust before signing.
How many pages does a PDF have if it will not open?
The page counter reads the file structure directly without rendering anything, so it works on a document that is too damaged to preview. It is the quickest way to check whether a file you were sent is complete.
Does read-aloud send my document to a service?
No. The text is read by the browser speech engine on your own machine. It does need a text layer to work, so a scanned document has to go through OCR first.
