Rotate PDF Pages - Free Online Browser Tool
Rotate specific or all pages by 90, 180, or 270 degrees.
Rotation is a metadata operation, not a re-render: the page keeps every pixel it had and only its stored orientation changes. That is why a rotated page stays razor sharp at any zoom, keeps its text layer, and takes a fraction of a second even on a 300-page file.
This rotate pdf pages utility runs completely inside your web browser. Your document is opened locally and processed on your own device using JavaScript and WebAssembly, so your file is never uploaded to any server. There is no signup, no watermark and no limit on how many documents you can handle.

How to Use the Rotate PDF Pages Tool
Four steps, and the whole thing runs locally on your own device.
-
Load the document
Drop in the PDF with sideways or upside-down pages.
-
Choose a rotation angle
Pick 90, 180 or 270 degrees, clockwise. A quarter turn fixes a sideways scan; a half turn fixes an inverted one.
-
Apply to all pages or a selection
Rotate the whole document in one go, or select specific pages on the thumbnails when only a few are wrong.
-
Rotate and download
Press Rotate PDF. The saved file opens with every page at the correct orientation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does rotating reduce image quality?
No. Rotation is recorded as page metadata, so nothing is re-encoded and no resolution is lost at all.
Why does the viewer show rotated pages but the thumbnail not?
That is a viewer that ignores the page’s rotation attribute. Most PDF readers honour it; if yours does not, the rotation is still correctly stored in the file.
Is rotation permanent once I download?
Yes. The rotation is written into the page dictionary of the new file, so it applies everywhere the document is opened.
Can I rotate clockwise only?
Yes, all angles are clockwise. Rotating 90 three times is the same as 270 once, so anticlockwise is available by choosing the larger angle.
Why did a page come out with text upside down?
A 180-degree rotation turns portrait into portrait. If a page looks better at 90 or 270, undo and pick the angle that matches how the content should face up.
