Frequently Asked Questions
Does adding margins shrink my content to fit?
No. Content keeps its original size and position; the page simply grows around it. That is the difference between adding margins and resizing the canvas.
What happens if the extra margin is large?
The page size grows to accommodate it. Very large margins produce unusually large pages, so check the resulting dimensions before printing.
Can I add a wider left margin for spiral binding?
Yes, and that is the standard use. Alternatively, Add Binding Margins builds a proper gutter with the content repositioned to suit binding.
Does this affect page count?
No. Margins are added around existing pages; no pages are added or removed.
Why would I not just use Crop Pages in reverse?
Cropping removes whitespace. This adds it. You want adding when a document needs room for a stamp or binding, and cropping when a document has too much empty space.
