Merge Selected Pages - Free Online Browser Tool

Pick specific page numbers from multiple PDFs and merge them.

When you are assembling a submission from several documents, you rarely want whole files — you want page 2 of the contract, all of appendix B, and the last page of the invoice. This tool lets you name exact pages per file and stitches only those together, in the order you list them.

This merge selected pages utility runs completely inside your web browser. Your document is opened locally and processed on your own device using JavaScript and WebAssembly, so your file is never uploaded to any server. There is no signup, no watermark and no limit on how many documents you can handle.

  • 100% client-side - files never leave your device
  • Instant processing, no upload wait
  • Works on desktop, tablet and mobile
  • Free forever, no account required

How to Use the Merge Selected Pages Tool

Four steps, and the whole thing runs locally on your own device.

  1. Add the source PDFs

Drop in each document you want to pull pages from. Several files can be queued at once; each one becomes a chip you can expand.

  2. Type the page numbers you want

For each file enter page numbers and ranges — 1, 3, 5-9 — comma separated. Pages you leave out are simply not copied, and out-of-range numbers are flagged before processing starts.

  3. Check the running order

The output follows the order of your file list and, within each file, the order you typed the numbers. Reorder the chips if you need a different sequence.

  4. Merge and download

Press Merge Pages to build a new PDF containing exactly the pages you listed, and download it as one file.

Frequently Asked Questions

What page number format do I use?

Comma separated numbers and ranges, like 1, 3, 5-9. Single numbers mean one page; a range means every page from the first to the second, inclusive.

What if I ask for a page that does not exist?

The tool checks your numbers against the real page count of that file and tells you which entries are out of range, instead of silently producing a short document.

Will the pages keep their original size and orientation?

Yes. Each selected page is copied whole, so a landscape page stays landscape and a mixed-size source stays mixed-size.

Can I pull pages from scanned PDFs?

Yes. Page selection works on any page in the file. Note that scanned pages are images, so if you later search or copy text from them you will need OCR first.

Does this differ from Split PDF?

Yes — Split PDF pulls pages out of one document, this tool pulls pages out of several documents at once and combines the picks into a single output.
